Stew to Eat
Film description

The Stew is almost ready, but there is one thing missing… a dark adventure of unrequited love, societal decay and insatiable hunger.

'Stew to Eat' is a silent narrative in the style of 1920’s German Expressionism with modern flourishes peppered in throughout. It takes inspiration from a wide range of classics (Dr. Caligari, Carnival of Souls, The Marx Brothers' Paramount films, etc.) but also emerges as something new - it’s not quite horror, not quite comedy. It’s story-driven, and yet also formally experimental. More than anything, it’s a celebration of DIY world-building, unlikely communities, and the overwhelming urge to be seen.
