Scum

An uncompromising story of life in a British juvenile offender institution in the '70s that leads to spiral of violence and prison revolt. Director Alan Clarke was given the chance to remake his 1977 version by the BBC two years later. Little did he hesitate to add a lot of violence and mental abuse to denounce the British justice system, much to the shock of the BBC.
