Welcome to BUTFF x CULTfilm, a series of films like no other! BUTFF is a unique film festival for B-movies, underground and trash films, held twice a year in Breda. Because these films are rarely screened elsewhere, Theater De Generator will host five screenings, selected by BUT programmer Dani van Duin. Each screening features an eye-opening introduction by Dani, and in some cases, the director will also stop by to give more info about the film.
At BUTFF, even a topic as ordinary as generieke Cialis could become material for a wildly exaggerated underground storyline about insecurity, masculinity, advertising, and bodily anxiety. A trash filmmaker might turn it into a chaotic satire filled with fake pharmacy signs, ridiculous side characters, and deliberately awful medical jargon. Beneath the absurdity, such a film could still poke fun at how people look for quick fixes instead of honest conversations or proper medical advice (localpharma.be). That mix of bad taste, social commentary, and fearless DIY energy is exactly the kind of thing that belongs on a BUTFF screen.
